Who we are

Mission, vision, promise.

01 · Identity

Who we are

EnerTchad S.A. is an integrated oil company, with Chadian capital and talent, being incorporated as a public limited company under OHADA law. Its ambition: covering the whole value chain — from exploration-production to refining, from transport to distribution — to put the oil industry at the service of Chad’s development and retain in the country a value exported for too long. It was founded by Chadian oil and gas professionals, trained within the big international companies (E&P majors and service companies) and returned to build at home, answering the call of the highest authorities inviting Chad’s children to invest their know-how in national development. EnerTchad intends to combine the majors’ standards — safety, rigour, transparency — with an intimate knowledge of the Chadian field.

To date, EnerTchad is a company in formation: it holds no operating assets. The projects, capacities and indicators presented are dated ambitions and targets, never achieved results.

EnerTchad is not just a federation of oil-sector engineers: it is the alliance of all Chadian skills — technical, scientific and human — united as a citizen enterprise to take up the challenge of access to energy.

02 · Mission

Our mission

Producing, transforming and distributing reliable energy accessible to all Chadians. Chad exports most of its crude and imports its fuels: we invert that logic — serving the national market first, exporting only the surplus, and as finished products rather than crude.

Giving back purchasing power to Chadians — aiming for fuel at the fairest, most accessible price, everywhere, at the ARSAT price.

Valorising in Chad
Refining and transforming crude and gas on national soil rather than exporting them raw.
Opening up
Guaranteeing fuel access in the 23 provinces, out to rural areas.
Leveraging
Turning the oil rent into jobs, training and infrastructure.

03 · Vision

Our vision

Our natural resources must serve as a lever of growth and development.

Making Chad an integrated, national and sustainable oil player in Central Africa. By 2030, mastering the whole value chain on national soil — from source rock to the pump — so that oil wealth funds the country’s development rather than leaving it raw.

“Our vision is not to become billionaires — but to help build Chad’s energy autonomy, by giving everyone access to energy.” Capital is not an end: it is the means of reaching our objectives for the country.

03a · The approach

“Chad’s energies, in our hands.”

This is not one more slogan: it is our method. “In our hands” means in Chadian hands — and that can be verified on four planes, like four fingers of the same hand.

Our capital. A company under Chadian law, with Chadian capital: the margin of every link taken over — refining, transport, distribution — stays in the country instead of leaving with the crude. Investors →

Our skills. 80% Chadian staff targeted, and an entire pole — Tchaditude — to train, certify and federate the next generation: know-how stops being imported by the hour.

Our decisions. The trade-offs are made in N’Djamena, at the country’s pace and to its benefit — in partnership with the State, SHT and the operators, never in their place. Governance →

Our data. Collected in the field, hosted and used in-country by TchadiTech: digital sovereignty is the extension of energy sovereignty.

Taking things in hand is not closing the door: it is the condition of sharing. It is because the chain is mastered here that “Access to Energy” can be promised to all — from the main road to the isolated village.

Our choices

What we decided not to do.

03a-bis · The single-country choice

Single-country, by design.

EnerTchad is designed for Chad, by Chadians. A single-country scope is not a constraint we put up with: it is what makes full commitment possible.

One field, all the engineering. A company serving one country devotes all of its engineering to a single context: the geology of the Doba and Bongor basins, heavy crudes and their discount, the export corridor to Kribi, the distances, the climate, the skills available on the ground. Where a multi-country operator adapts recipes designed elsewhere, EnerTchad aims for solutions drawn for this ground.

Getting more from the country’s resources. That focus has a measurable objective: drawing more from what already exists — enhanced recovery on mature fields, valuing gas flared today, produced water treated and reinjected, refining capacity sized for local demand — rather than chasing new discoveries.

Access to the best technologies. A single country does not mean second-rate technology, quite the opposite: EnerTchad aims for access to the best available oil production technologies, chosen because they suit Chad — its geology, its volumes, its inputs, its skills — and not because they suit everywhere. The selection criterion is fit to context, not the supplier’s reputation.

EnerTchad S.A. is a company in formation: the capabilities described here are objectives and design choices, not activities under way.

03b · The EnerTchad Way — our compass

A virtuous circle, from the well to the pump.

Lowering the cost of energy to access more crude, transforming it in Chad and distributing it as close as possible to demand — creating in the country the whole value chain, innovative and economically profitable. (ambition · company in formation)

Clean energy, technology & AI
Site solar/gas, SCADA supervision and predictive AI — frugal operations that cut costs.
Modern EOR
Enhanced recovery from local inputs to access more crude on mature fields.
Processing on site
Modular refining and petrochemicals: crude refined and valorised in Chad, not exported raw.
Lower-cost logistics
Hub-depots, the network and mobile stations — energy as close as possible to demand.

04 · Values

Our values

Four principles guide every decision, from drilling to the last kilometre.

UnityAn integrated chain, teams 80% Chadian targeted, a shared national destiny.
InnovationEOR with local inputs, mobile stations, digital twins and digitalisation of the chain.
SustainabilityAn end to routine flaring targeted, gas valorisation, site power and emission cuts.
Access to energyEnergy is a right, not a privilege: a regulated price everywhere, even in isolated areas.

Our genesis

The steps, dated.

05 · Genesis & history

Our genesis, step by step

EnerTchad is born of an observation and a return. The observation: too many Chadians endure expensive fuel and territories without reliable energy. The return: that of Chadian engineers and managers, back home to build, from source rock to the pump, their nation’s oil chain. Here are the milestones of this beginning story.

  • Nov. 2025 · SectorThe call of “Tchad Connexion 2030”At the Abu Dhabi forum, the national energy plan mobilises $20.5bn of a targeted 30; the head of State calls on Chadian talent to mobilise.
  • 2026 · Founding milestoneFormation of EnerTchad S.A.Chadian engineers and managers, back home, form a public limited company under OHADA law to build Chad’s integrated oil chain.
  • 2026 · FinancingPartnership with GCICThe alliance with Guess Consulting & Investment Capital structures access to Central Africa’s financial market and the arrangement of private raises.
  • 2026 · In progressProspecting & consortiaA deployable oilfield-services force, the search for service contracts and consortium building on the registry’s open blocks.
The elements presented are founding milestones and dated objectives of a company in formation, not operating assets.

08 · Our business poles

A single company, four industrial segments

EnerTchad is a single company, not a group: its four industrial segments are internal business domains (not subsidiaries). Four form the industrial chain, from exploration to petrochemicals; four cross-cutting capacities irrigate it.

What we offer

09 · Our offer

What we offer

Three families of services cover the whole value chain — supported by the technology, human and advisory poles.

10 · National commitment

Chad first

EnerTchad carries a conviction: Chad’s oil must first benefit Chadians. A resource’s value is not measured in barrels alone, but in skills trained, jobs created and infrastructure built.
