Talent · The oil next generation
Let’s build the team.
EnerTchad is being built — and its human capital first. Our doctrine: train before extracting, to make Chadians the first actors of their own oil. A company in formation — recruitment will open at the pace of the milestones; the profiles below are the ones we are preparing.
Youth unemployment is one of Chad’s great challenges. EnerTchad answers it with jobs: direct careers across the core poles, and thousands of indirect opportunities with our suppliers. Jobs & youth — our approach →
The professions we are preparing
Eight families of professions, along the oil chain and its backbone of cross-cutting capabilities.
Our approach
Benefits & working environment
What we want to offer those who will build EnerTchad — as targets, at the pace of the ramp-up.
A typical day, trade by trade
No one has signed yet — the company is in formation. Here, in the future tense, is what four of these working days will look like. They are what we are preparing the next generation for.
Their day will start in front of seismic lines from the Doba and Bongor basins: mapping the source rock, proposing the next well location, defending the interpretation in project review — and training their junior Chadian counterpart.
In the control room they will watch pressure and flow along the export corridor: custody-transfer metering, integrity rounds, coordination with the depots — value only counts if it moves, and their day will prove it.
She will open her shift with the HSE review, run the modular mini-refinery units, sign off the quality of every batch — gasoline, diesel, LPG — and close by handing over written instructions.
At first light they will check the tanks and posted prices, welcome the first customers, handle LPG bottles and diesel fills alike — and make their ultra-premium station the brand’s daily shop window.
Internships & work-study
“Train before extracting” starts with youth: EnerTchad targets an internship and work-study programme with Chadian institutions.
Unsolicited application
No position is open yet, but we are building our talent pool — graduates of the National Higher Petroleum Institute of Mao (INSPEM) are especially welcome. Send a CV and letter — specify the family of professions that fits you. We will get back to selected profiles as soon as recruitment opens.
Our recruitment rules
Free of charge, open to all, and never through a middleman
No discrimination, at any stage
Applications are assessed on skills and potential alone — regardless of origin, sex, ethnic or religious affiliation, family situation, health status or disability. Adjustments needed for an interview are offered on request.
Chadian skills first
At equal skill, priority goes to Chadian candidates and to residents of the areas where we will operate; where the skill is missing, we train it rather than importing it for good.
A reply to everyone
An acknowledgement for every application and a first response within two weeks — including when the answer is no. The full process takes five steps, described below.
How we recruit: a five-step process
No maze: our recruitment process fits into five steps, with an announced turnaround and a reply to every candidate — including when the answer is no.
Application
A CV and a few lines of motivation are enough — no endless file. Every application gets an acknowledgement, and a first response within two weeks.
Shortlisting
A careful read of your background and a short phone call: we look for potential and the appetite to learn as much as for the degree — the company is being built, and so are its people.
Interviews
Two interviews at most: the job itself with your future manager, the mindset with management. The questions are concrete and close to the field — no guessing games.
Practical exercise
A practical case drawn from our real problems — a calculation, an analysis, an action plan: you see the actual work, we see how you reason. The case is debriefed together.
Offer & onboarding
A clear written offer, then a structured onboarding path: a named mentor, a rotation through the poles, and 90-day objectives set from day one.
Recruitment vigilance
No EnerTchad recruitment is ever paid for.
The name of an oil company in formation is a convenient target for employment fraud. Here is what cannot happen with us.
- We never ask a candidate for money — no application fee, no visa fee, no deposit, no purchase of training or equipment.
- We use no intermediary authorised to collect a payment on our behalf.
- All official correspondence comes from an @enertchad.com address. An offer from a free or look-alike domain is not from us.
- We do not issue a firm offer by instant messaging alone, and we do not ask for bank details before hiring.
Any doubts, or have you received a suspicious approach? Report it — include the sender address and the message if you can. We answer compliance reports within twenty-four hours.
